Laura was not with us when we put this website together. Her loss for us all has been more than difficult and does not make any sense. She was a wonderful person. A girl so beautiful and talented, so kind, caring and spiritual. We just keep wondering "Why?"
She was such a modest girl, many of her friends did not even know she played guitar or was even in the process of recording her own CD when she was killed.
The only thing that does make sense for us is to share her music with everyone we can and begin this music foundation in her name. Let everyone know how wonderful and talented she was. And show off her photos since she did not.
The Laura Brooke Music Foundation will work to continue her dream to become a professional musician and music teacher, by helping other young people who share the same dream. These young people will have the desire to learn, but could not be able to afford the expense of a private music education outside of school. That would include learning materials and obtaining their musical instrument(s) of choice. Learning materials will be donated by Boomer's Music in Wellington FL. They will also loan out a limited number of instruments, mainly guitars since that was Laura's instrument. Some will be donated, and if need be, Boomer's Music will repair the instruments at no charge.
Please help us "Pass The Dream" by making a monetary donation or donating any used instruments in any condition. If the instrument(s) no longer work, Boomer's Music will make it work, or salvage parts for later foundation repairs. Even if you think it can't be repaired, like a crushed top of an acoustic guitar, Boomer's can do it.
Please drop off donations to Boomer's Music located in the Wellington (Country) Plaza on the SW corner of Forest Hill Blvd and Wellington Trace. 12789 W. Forest Hill Blvd., Suite C, Wellington FL 33414.
Or you can mail them to us there too: The Laura Brooke Music Foundation c/o Boomer's Music, 12789 W. Forest Hill Blvd., Suite C, Wellington FL 33414.

On November 10, 2007, the first benefit concert for the Laura Brooke Music Foundation, Inc. took place at the BAK Middle School of the Arts. Laura had just graduated from there in May 2007.
It was an amazing success. Nearly 500 tickets were sold and it looked as all were in attendence. Her family and friends put the show together. It was a very special night and very emotional for all.
